Blood and Water
When Susan Shaw inherits her uncle’s cottage on a windswept Irish island, she sees it as her chance to escape — from her crumbling marriage, from a devastating loss, from a life that no longer fits.
But Dune Island holds secrets of its own.
As Susan uncovers her family’s hidden past through her uncle’s journals and the whispered stories of islanders, she discovers that the patterns of love, loss, and silence have echoed through generations. Her uncle Frank lived a life of quiet desperation, hiding his true self from the world. Now Susan faces the same crossroads.
When a passionate affair threatens to shatter what remains of her marriage, and long-buried family truths surface, Susan must choose: Will she repeat the mistakes that destroyed those who came before her, or find the courage to forge a different path?
A sweeping family saga of love, betrayal, and the price of keeping secrets
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Ireland’s Atlantic coast, Blood and Water weaves past and present into an unforgettable story about the courage it takes to live authentically—and the devastating cost of hiding who we really are.
